Happy Birthday Mr. Sid!!!!

I am up to my eyeballs in final projects and exams until the 17th and planning my own birthday bash, but I could not let this day go by without paying tribute to the man who has captured so many of our hearts.

Sidney Patrick Crosby graced the world with his presence 23 years ago today. Who knew back then that he would give us so many special gifts; the Stanley Cup back in Pittsburgh, the Olympic gold medal (sorry all you fans from other countries :()and just the sheer pleasure of letting us all admire his pure awesomeness and beauty.
Sid, I would not want to be in your shoes for all the money in the world. To have the weight of a franchise, a league, and a nation on your shoulders at such a young age was and is a daunting task and you have handled it with the utmost grace and dignity. Everyone is human and makes mistakes and you are no exception; what you are however is an exceptional leader and role model because your expectations are high, but never more than you expect from yourself. You lead quietly by example and inspire those around you to be better. One of the signs of a great leader is to learn from your mistakes and become better because of them, whether it be as a player or as a human being and you have shown time and time again your ability to do just that.
Trina and Troy, thank you for blessing us all with the gift of your amazing son. I can only imagine how proud you must be that the boy you raised has turned into such an incredible young man.
Sidney, my birthday wish for you is that you find inner peace, true love, and pure happiness. After everything you have given to the world, you deserve it!
Happy birthday Sidney!
xoxo

And FYI...updates for all 3 stories will be coming soon, if not before, definitely when the brain drain of this semester is over!
