Just a Quick Note

Hello all,
Just a quick note to say, I haven't disappeared but my life has been crazy busy lately. I am in the midst of completing final projects and writing final exams for this semester (6 days left and counting!) so that has been taking up every second of my free (writing) time; not to mention basketball practices and games and baseball practices I'm trying to get two boys to because my wonderful husband is now working out of town and is only home on weekends! I AM A SUPERWOMAN, HEAR ME ROAR! (Praise to single mothers/parents everywhere who do this everyday!)
On top of that I've just recently had three children added to the group I care for and all three are EXTREMELY high needs either developmentally or behaviourally. I love them all to death, but the other day when two of the three were away, I realized just how much energy they suck out of me on a daily basis. I am mentally exhausted most days! I wouldn't have it any other way though, after all, this is the career I chose and the reason I'm going through all this masters agony!
For the record, I am not complaining! I am extremely lucky and have a very blessed life. I do not for one second take it for granted!
I hope to have updates for both my stories up within a week; I am desperately craving the need to write and release the pent up ideas my mind has for Sid and Bekah and Kris and Brie and I fear if this release does not happen soon, my brain will explode!
I know I've said this before, but I can't say it enough; thank you to all the loyal readers for sticking with me. You are loved and appreciated.
Cheers!

Chapter 102

-----------Sidney's POV-------------

I couldn't sleep.

I don't understand what's happening to me right now. I'm laying in my own bed, in my own house, with the most beautiful angel in my arms and I am so overcome with emotion I don't know what to do or how to deal with it. I was not a emotional person; hell I am notorious for being unemotional - almost "robotic", but right here, right now, my feelings were so overwhelming I had to let them out.

I slid out of bed carefully so I didn't wake Bekah up. God she was beautiful! I could just watch her sleep all night; the way her hair fell on the pillow framing her face; the way her lips slightly parted and pursed outward like she was pouting; the way she wrinkled her nose when she was dreaming; the content little sigh she let out whenever she moved or rolled over. God damn I am so in love with her!

I made my way into the bathroom and shut the door, put my hands on the counter and stared at my reflection in the mirror. I was shocked by what was staring back at me. It was no longer the reflection of a kid obsessed with hockey and making his parents happy; or the guy who had the weight of the entire hockey world on his shoulders; or the media darling who could never say no to an interview. No, looking back at me tonight was a man. A man who for the first time in his life had something other than hockey to think about. A man so unbelievably happy and so in love with the woman asleep in his bed that he didn't know how to cope.

I lowered my head and began to sob uncontrollably. I tried to stop but I couldn't. Men don't cry! What the fuck is going on with me? The warm, soft hands around my waist scared the hell out of me.

"Sidney, what's wrong?" she asked with a hint of concern in her voice.

"Nothing," I replied standing up quickly forcing her to let go of me, but she came right back and put her arms around me. We were now looking at each other in the mirror but not saying a word. She kissed me softly across my bare back sending an electric sensation through my entire body, yet I still could not stop crying. Bekah moved out from behind me and leaned against the counter facing me. We didn't speak, she just rubbed her hand up and down my arm soothingly.

It seemed like an eternity until I was able to pull myself together. When I finally looked at her I noticed she was wearing nothing but one of my Pens t-shirts and it was no time before it was evident how much I liked what I was seeing. I moved so I was standing in front of her, lifted her up and stood between her legs. As I stood there, staring into her eyes, I could only think one thing...'I have to have her now!'

My mouth enveloped hers and I kissed her like my life depended on it. I ripped that shirt off over her head and let myself begin to ravage her.

"Sidney," she said breathlessly.

"Hmmm," I managed between nibbles.

"Tell me what you want," she whispered.

"I want you."

"No, tell me what you want," she demanded.

'This is it,' I thought. 'We did it right the first time, now the gloves are off. I have so much pent up emotion I need to let out.'

I kissed my way from her shoulder up her neck to her ear. I took her earlobe in my mouth. Ever so slowly I whispered, "I want to fuck you."

"Mmmm," she purred. "Then do it."

I pulled her to the edge of the counter and in one swift movement rammed my aching erection inside her.

I was laying with my head on her stomach enjoying the feeling of her fingers running through my hair. We were still naked and the sun was starting to come up over the lake.

"Sidney?"

"Mmhhmm?"

"Do you want to talk about it?"

"About what?"

"Earlier?" she asked timidly.

"Oh. I just...I was overwhelmed with so many different emotions and I didn't really know what to do with that ya know? I'm just not used to loving anything but hockey and now..."

"And now what?"

"And now I have you and the boys. Beks, for the first time in my entire life, hockey isn't the first thing I think about when I wake up in the morning, it's you. I used to get lost in my own little world, usually thinking about how I can improve my shot or what I could have done better in the game the night before or who I have to go sit through another painful interview with. Now I'm wondering what you're doing, how many goals Alex scored in the game that I had to miss, what video game Jake is going to want me to play with him that night, how many babies you had to comfort while they got treatment, what we're going to have for dinner, what you're wearing! I just never loved anything more than hockey before."

"What are you saying Sidney?"

"I'm saying that the day I met you, my life changed forever. The first time you told me you loved me, I thought it couldn't get any better, but I was wrong. Making love to you last night was the best night of my life and giving ourselves to each other so completely only reassured me of one thing."

"And what would that be Crosby?"

"This is what I want my life to be. This is how I want to spend the rest of my life. With you."

Why I Can't Stand Red Wing Fans

After reading today's post over at Hockey For The Ladies, I decided to write this post.

I have always been on the wrong side when visiting Joe Louis Arena; last night was no exception.
As a long time Avalanche fan I have lived through the dreaded Detroit/Colorado rivalry, so what transpired last night was certainly not shocking to me. That being said, those ignorant fans took it to a whole new level that was really very disturbing to me as a fan of the game of hockey.

We all know how Sidney is often treated by the fans when going into visiting arenas. The not so merry tune of "Crosby sucks" ringing through the entire building. Last night was no exception. This chant rose through the building almost every five minutes or so. Can anyone say overkill? Yes, I get you don't like the guy 'cause he raised the cup in your building but get the fuck over it! I wish I could say that the jeers inspired our boy to do great things and score a couple goals like it usually does, but we all know this is not the case. It was evident by our boy's play that he was frustrated, but I was a little surprised that he let it show. Now I'm a big girl and I understand that this is part of the game, and if it had of stopped at the chant, I would not be writing this post.

Sadly the fans also felt the need to call our Sid some extremely vulgar and degrading names; and I'm not talking Cindy Crybaby here. The names were so vile that they do not bear repeating. It disturbs me that grown men and women felt the need to sceam such vulgar things to a 22 year old kid; but he's a big boy, he can take it. What was the most disturbing to me was the thousands of children; very young children who had to witness such displays of vulgarity and poor sportsmanship. I was appalled that these "fans" let their hatred manifest itself in such a way that young, innocent children were caught in the crossfire. In my section alone, four people were escorted out for their language and I say "good for you" to those of you had the balls to complain to protect your children.

When the game was over and the refs (don't even get me started on the job, or lack of it that they did) were escorting the players to their benches after Sid's little scrum, people in the stands were actually throwing garbage at the players still on the Pittsburgh bench and out on the ice. There's only one word I can think of to describe this display: pathetic! IT'S A GAME PEOPLE! GET OVER YOURSELVES!

I can honestly say that I was ashamed to be a hockey fan last night because of the way these people who call themselves fans of the game were acting. You should be ashamed of yourselves!

And just to be fair, (because that's what good sportmanship is all about) I will say this: not all fans were this bad. I actually had a very nice conversation with a few Wings fans while I was waiting for my husband. They actually felt the same way I did and thought it was ridiculous some of the things that were happening last night. One even said, "I don't know why they're raggin' on Crosby; he's a great player. If they want to be pissed, they should be yelling at Talbot, he's the one that won that game!" Well said Brian!

Now that my little rant is over I would like to share this story:

This is actually how I knew Sid was not on his game last night.
They were getting ready for a face off in the corner I was sitting in and they were still waiting to come back from a commercial. All the Pens were in their place waiting for Detroit to get ready. Sid was hunched over and intently focused on what he needed to do; or so I thought. I was watching him, amazed (as always) at his focus when he actually lookd up and right at me. He was looking right in my eyes; and I was looking right in his. I was mezmerized! I wanted to look away, but I couldn't. My husband said "Is Sidney Crosby looking at you?" to which I had no reply. What could I say? "Yes the most notoriously focused guy in hockey felt like taking a break and is indeed staring at me"? OF COURSE NOT! He wasn't looking at me. He couldn't be looking at me right? After all, he doesn't do that. He 's just looking up; probably just staring into space. People do that all the time right? I do. I stare off into space, not really looking at anything in particular. Sidney Crosby is focused and intense end of story. I got my answer when I smiled at my husband's question. He smiled (that crooked little half grin) back! Sidney Crosby smiled at me!
Now I want to get one thing straight. I am not telling you all this to say "Oooo he looked at me; he smiled at me; that must mean he thinks I'm cute!" NO NO NO NO NO! As a matter of fact, I can say with much certainty that never in a million years would Sidney Crosby ever think I was cute. I'm telling you this for one reason only; to let you know he is human. Sid is always being accused of being a robot with the media and I have actually experienced a bit of him being human and wanted to share it. That being said, he is always being described as focussed and intense and after that little moment last night, I can say how true it is! The intesity in his eyes when we were looking at each other actually sent chills down my spine. Intense is not the word for that boy! He is beyond intense! I have never experienced anything like that before; it was amazing! For a brief moment it was almost like I could see what he was thinking. Bizarre; amazing; intense; weird; WOW!

Anyhoo...enough rambling! I just wanted to share these tidbits with y'all. Hope you enjoyed!

Sid, my love and admiration for you runs deep; even more so now. Keep your chin up kid!

Red Wing fans, I've already wasted too much time and energy on you and you're really not worth it. But I will leave you with these two words: Grow up!

Much love,
~B~

Chapter 101

So, I really struggled with this chapter. It has been so highly anticipated that I didn't want it to disappoint. I wanted it to do their relationship justice after they had been through so much. I also didn't want it to be too graphic, but wanted it to be graphic enough that you would feel like you were experiencing their first time right along with them. I hope I did it justice and didn't go too overboard with the details.
Hope you enjoy..
~B~

Sidney took Bekah's hand and led her to the middle of the room where the fireplace flickered and the big, cozy bed awaited them. But he was in no hurry; not tonight. Tonight was about taking it slow and savouring every single moment he was with this incredible woman.
"I think with all the events of the night, I forgot to tell you something very important," he said.
"And what would that be?"
"I never told you how absolutely stunning you looked tonight."
The blush on Bekah's cheeks was obvious, even with the light from the fire reflecting off her porcelain skin.
"Sidney, stop..."
"No. I will never stop telling you how beautiful you are, so you'd better get used to it," he ordered as he rested his forehead against hers. "I have missed you so much Bekah. I don't ever want to be without you that long again."
"Me either. I didn't think it would be that hard to be away from you, but..."
"Shhh," he silenced her with a kiss. "We won't ever have to worry about it again," he said wrapping his arms around her and holding her like their lives depended on it.
"Don't move," he said letting her go. "I'll be right back."
Bekah stood with a puzzled look on her face, but did as she was told. A moment later Sidney returned and a familiar tune soon followed him. He took her in his arms once again as the music started.

"The first night I heard this song was the best night of my life," he started. "It was perfect. Dancing in your living room, holding you in my arms, and you telling me you loved me for the first time. I didn't think it could get any better...until now. I can't believe how lucky I am to have you in my life Beks."

She had to look twice, but that was indeed a single tear that rolled down his cheek. Her heart was so full of love for the man holding her in his arms. 'He is perfect' she thought as she snuggled in closer to him.
As they swayed to the music she let her mind wander back to everything that had happened over the past year. Just one short year ago, she never would have imagined that she would fall in love, let alone fall in love with the young 'face of the NHL'. Now here she was, almost a year later, completely, utterly, madly in love with Sidney Crosby; and he was madly in love with her. It was a long, bumpy road to get where they were, but they were here...FINALLY. Not a care in the world; about to take their relationship to the next level; and that's when it hit her. She began to feel all the insecurities and fears that once plagued her sexual experiences and started to panic.

Sidney felt her start to tremble and he pulled away enough that he could look her in the eye.

"Honey what's wrong? Why are you shaking?"

"I'm sorry. I just...I'm scared Sidney," she squeaked out barely above a whisper. "It's been so long, I..." she trailed off.

"I know you're scared, and I am too. Taking this step is going to change our entire relationship; but it will change for the better. It will just show how much we love each other; how committed we are to each other. At least that's the way I feel; I hope you're feeling the same way. If you don't, we'll stop this right now."

"Of course I feel the same way, it has nothing to do with my feelings for you; it's just after everything...I worked so hard to block all those bad memories out, and opening myself up to that situation again, they all come flooding back and it's...scary."

"Well maybe it's time to make some new memories; good ones," Sidney said softly. "I'm not him Bekah. I would never, ever hurt you. Right here, right now, is about us and nobody else. I love you, more than I could ever put into words. Let me show you how much."

His lips met hers once again, and this time she granted him entrance. His tongue was soft and warm and gentle as it danced in her mouth. Sidney's hand, slowly and gently caressed her bare shoulder and moved down her arm, sending shivers through her entire body. As their tongues tangled, Bekah finally let herself relax and enjoy the moment.

Sidney's lips left hers and began to trail kisses from her ear, down her neck to her collarbone, making her breath catch in her throat. As he continued his assault down her collarbone to her shoulder, Bekah couldn't help but let a moan of pleasure escape. Sidney smiled at the reaction he was receiving and went back to continue where he had left off.
Sidney unzipped the back of the flowing peach sundress that adorned Bekah's perfectly tanned body. He slipped his finger under the strap and slowly pulled it down her shoulder. The other strap soon followed and as he slipped the dress down her body letting it fall to the floor, he allowed himself to drink in the amazing sight his eyes were seeing. Underneath that simple summer dress were a warm, buttery yellow matching bra and underwear. The colour really popped against her cinnamon coloured skin and her gorgeous blue eyes were like crystal clear pools of water. This time it was Sidney's breath that caught in his throat. He knew she was beautiful, but never expected anything like the body he was seeing without clothes for the first time.
He was so turned on by the vision of beauty before him and it was getting impossible to hide his excitement.

Bekah felt completely vulnerable being nearly fully exposed, but seeing the reaction it was garnering from her admirer helped boost her confidence. Since she was standing completely vulnerable, she figured fair was fair. Without speaking a word, she slowly pulled his black golf shirt over his head revealing his well toned and slightly tanned chest. God she missed that body! Without hesitating, she reached for for his belt buckle and expertly parted the leather, unbuttoned the button, unzipped the zipper and let the tan shorts take their place on the floor next to her dress. She had seen him in those black boxer briefs before; had admired his perfectly carved body before; but this time was different. This time there was much more to be seen.

Sidney expertly unhooked her bra and it too joined the other clothing in a pile on the floor. She said nothing but he could sense her hesitation.
"Are you okay?" he asked tenderly.
"Yes. I've just never been naked in front of anyone before," she whispered almost shamefully.
"Never?" he questioned trying to hide his surprise. "Not even..."
"Never."
"If you want to stop we can."
"No, I don't want to stop. I can't remember ever wanting anything more. I want you, Sidney. I want to give myself to you completely."
He soon shed his boxers and they both stood in front of each other, taking in each others naked bodies, basking in the glow of the fire.
"God you are so beautiful Bekah. I want to explore every inch of your body."
He led her to the bed and guided her onto the soft down duvet and mountain of pillows. It was just like laying on a cloud, or at least what she imagined it would be like.
She lay with her back to him and let Sidney take control; like she had a choice in the matter. He left kisses on every bare inch of her body; and when he got down to her sides, she giggled like a school girl. He kissed every inch of her leg, right down to her toes, and as he took one of them in his mouth she moaned in pleasure. The sensations running through her body were like nothing she ever felt before and she in no way tried to hide it.
Sidney was spurred on by the sounds he was hearing and continued with a frontal assault. He slowly and meticulously moved from her toes up to her thighs, listening to the chorus of groans as he moved. His hot breath teased the now warm, wet spot that awaited him from between her legs; but that would have to wait. He wasn't done exploring yet. His lips made their way across her stomach and landed themselves between her breasts. The sounds she was making made it hard for him to contain himself, but he had too; for her. His tongue lightly flicked her nipple and when it did, Bekah thought she was going to explode right then and there.
"Oh god Sidney," she breathed heavily.
"Yes baby, say my name."
"Sidney please, I can't take anymore. I need to feel you inside me now."
His golden eyes met hers and that devilish grinned she loved so much appeared.
"Not yet baby. I'm not done yet."
He kissed her so deeply she could of sworn his tongue was tickling her toes. Her moans told him to continue and he gladly obliged. He began working his way down her body, stopping once again to momentarily tease her now taught nipples.
"Mmmmmm. Please Sidney, please. You need to fuck me now," she pleaded.
"Rebekah Jones! What a dirty mouth you have. You're going to have to be patient my love. I'm in no hurry."
And as she was about to continue to beg for his mercy, he spread her legs and his warm, soft tongue met her hot, wet hole.
Her screams of delight were mixed with with moans of sheer pleasure. His tongue darted in and out so quickly, she knew it wasn't going to take her long to release the pleasure building inside her body. Just when she thought she couldn't take anymore, Sidney slipped two fingers inside her causing a whole new rush of sensations to run through her body.
"Dear god!" she cried out when she was finally able to find her voice. She moaned and wriggled and squirmed but his strong hand on her hip held her right where he wanted her and he wasn't letting go until he completed his mission.
"Sidney! Oh-my-god," she screamed breathlessly. "I...can't...I'm...gonna..."
One last flick of the tongue and pump of the fingers and that was it.
"Ohhhhhhhhhhhhh Sidneeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeey!"

Sidney lay beside his beautiful girlfriend, who was panting; desperately trying to get her breathing back to normal, staring at her and looking like the cat who swallowed the canary. He held her hand, kissing it gently and waited for her breathing to slow enough for her to be able to form words.
"Are you okay," he asked.
"Hmmmm. Better than okay," she purred back.
"Good, cause I'm not anywhere close to being done with you yet," he said moving so he could get on top of her.
Her firm hand on his chest, stopped him from advancing any further.
"What's wrong?" he questioned.
"Nothing's wrong. But you are sorely mistaken if you think your in control here."
"Oh is that so?"
"Yes it is," she said, turning the tables and climbing on top of his rock hard body and straddling his mammoth legs.
"Oooh, I like a woman who takes control."
"No you don't, but you don't have a choice sweetheart."
He was about to protest when her mouth enveloped his entire shaft right down to the base, making his words of protest be replaced by groans of delight.
Bekah continued to work her magic, encouraged by the sounds of pleasure she was hearing. She slowly moved her mouth up and down, letting her tongue circle around and around his hard cock. Slowly at first; then faster and faster until his whole body started to shake and she knew he was about to explode. She let her hand continue what her mouth had started and when she heard that low, animal-like growl escape from his beautiful lips, she collapsed beside him out of satisfaction and exhaustion.
Sidney held her close to him and kissed her forehead as he tried to return his breathing back to normal.
As they stared into each others eyes they both had the exact same thought: 'How did I get so damn lucky?' This moment was perfect; neither of them wanting to ruin it, so when Bekah opened her mouth to speak, Sidney quickly silenced her with his mouth. He rolled over on top of her ready to finish what he started. He said only three words.
"Are you sure?"
She nodded her agreement.
He kissed her hard, and as he did his knee expertly spread her legs allowing a spot for him to gain entrance. He slowly began to enter her, pausing only briefly to tease her clit with the tip of his penis. With one swift movement, he thrust his full size inside of her and they both moaned out their pleasure. Slowly he began pumping, and savouring the look on her face as he was inside her. When he thought she was ready, he started moving a little faster. She arched her back urging him to try and go further. He slowed only long enough to lift her legs and let them rest on his shoulders; her deep moan signalling he had done good. Slow. Fast. Slow. Fast. He moved to the rhythm of the music playing in the background and she had no choice but to follow his lead. He allowed her briefly to think that she was in control by letting her roll him over and get on top; and boy was he glad he did. The feeling of her sliding up and down on his cock was amazing and something he could get used to. He let her know she was doing good by moaning her name and she was so turned on by hearing her name like that, she wanted to take him over the edge and she didn't want to wait. She began bouncing up and down on his erection harder and faster until he was about to cum, but he stopped her.
"No, not yet," he pleaded before rolling her over so she was on all fours. "I want to experience everything," he breathed heavily.
Before she knew it he had entered her from behind making her moan out in both pleasure and pain. She was amazed by his size the first time he slid into her warm, wet hole; but now in this position, his size was painful, but it felt so good.
"Harder," she begged.
He obliged.
"Faster," she commanded.
He followed his orders.
"Oh god yeah baby. Don't stop."
He was letting himself veer from his perfect plan of romance because he hadn't anticipated being so turned on my her giving him direction. He had to stop himself. There was plenty of time for the down and dirty sex later; they had their whole lives ahead of them. He wanted to get back to basics; back to romance; back to his plan to give her the perfect night of making love. He wanted to give her that. She deserved it.
He pulled out of her, much to Bekah's dismay, and rolled her over on her back once again. He entered her slowly causing yet more moans of pleasure. When he started pulling out all the way and rubbing her clit with his penis before thrusting inside her again, she thought she was going to loose her mind.
She begged him to stop, to finally put her out of her misery.
"Please Sidney, I can't take anymore."
"But I don't want this to end," he whispered in her ear.
"It's not ending. It's just beginning, but right now, I can't take it. You need to make me cum," she moaned lustfully in his ear.
That's all it took, Those six words were just about enough to make him cum without any effort. Their bodies began to move together in perfect rhythm. Slow and methodically, then more passionately. His thumb moved in a circular motion over her clit and when she moaned his name he was done for. He thrust into her and she bucked her hips to meet his thrusts and they both were sent over the edge together.
They collapsed in pure exhaustion, their bodies entangled with each other and no desire to be any other way.
Bekah snuggled up against his him and placed her head and hand on his chest. She could feel his heart beating a million miles and hour.
The exhaustion threatened to overtake both their bodies, but he had to get one last thing in.
"I love you Rebekah Jones," he whispered.
"I love you too Crosby. Happy birthday Sidney."

Chapter 100 - UNBELIEVABLE

I absolutely cannot believe this story has reached 100 chapters! When I first started this story, I knew exactly some of the plot lines I wanted to follow and what I wanted the outcome to be. Needless to say, the story has veered from the original path but my intentions have not changed. I fear that the only way I'm going to get all the significant, life altering events that I had planned in, is to have the story start skipping ahead in time at some point; otherwise this story will never end! Hopefully I can accomplish this without straying from the integrity of the writing. As always, thank you to those of you who follow this story and especially those of you who comment; without you, this story would not exist!
Cheers!

After he had said goodbye to the last guest, Sidney went to go find Bekah. He wandered through the entire house before finally spotting her through the kitchen window.
She was startled by the same creaky board that she herself had stepped on only hours before. Sidney kicked off his flip flops and sat down beside her. He didn't speak; but simply took her hand in his and let their fingers intertwine naturally. They sat in silence with their feet dangling in the water for what seemed like forever. The only sound heard was the chirping of the crickets and the occasional splash when the fish were jumping.
"It's so peaceful here," Bekah said, finally being the one to break the silence. "I could stay out here forever."
"I'm glad to hear that," Sidney replied.
" Whoever owns this place is one lucky SOB."
"Yes, he certainly is," Sidney replied.
"Does it belong to a friend of yours? It must if they let you have your birthday party here."
"Yeah, he's a pretty amazing guy."
"I'd love to meet him while I'm here."
"I think I can arrange that. Hi, I'm Sidney," he said extending his hand to shake mine.
"Are you kidding me?" I asked.
"No. I'm the one who owns this house."
"What? When? How? Why didn't you tell me?"
"Well, I bought it about a month ago. You said that one of the things holding you back from coming up here was having to stay at my parents house, so the first thing I did when I got here was start looking for a house. Now I know it needs a lot of work, but I wanted to make sure I had it by the time my birthday rolled around because I was really hoping that you'd have a change of heart and come up and help me celebrate. I didn't tell you in case you did decide to come up because I wanted it to be a surprise. So...are you surprised?"
"I'm shocked! I can't believe you bought a house."
"I didn't want you to have any excuse not to come up here. Cole Harbour is my home. I'm going to be spending my summers here and I want you here with me. I want a place that's just ours; where we can come and relax and just be Sid and Bekah."
"Sidney, I don't know what to say."
"Say you'll stay here with me tonight and help me celebrate my first night in my first house."
"First night? You haven't stayed here yet?"
"No. I didn't want to sleep here until you were here to share it with me."
"And what if I hadn't come up here?"
"Then I would have waited until you did. Like I said, there's a lot of work that needs to be done, so it's not like I was planning on moving right in, but for now it's livable, so we can at least sleep here. What do you say?"
"I say...I can't believe you bought a pink house!"
"It's not pink; it's coral!"
"Whatever Crosby! You bought a pink house," I teased as I got up and started running towards the pink building.
"Oh, you don't seriously think you can out-run me do you?" he said jumping up and chasing after me.
"Why not? I can out-skate you!"
"I cannot believe you just brought that up! Your ass is mine now Jones!"
"You gotta catch me first!" I yelled behind me.
I was just about to reach the small patio when I felt his strong arms around my waist pulling me to the ground. We rolled twice before coming to a stop with him on top of me.
"Caught ya!" he said breathlessly.
"You did...now what are you going to do with me?"
That crooked little grin that I love so much spread across his lips and he simply said, "this."
His plump, pillowy lips were ravaging mine and all the pent up tension that had built up inside our bodies from being apart for three months was bubbling to the surface. We drank each other in like we had spent those three months in a desert deprived of water. Hands were everywhere, desperately reaching for the contact they craved. I was almost to the point where I couldn't take anymore when Sid abruptly stopped and sat up.
'Not again!' I thought.
"Can you give me like...two minutes?" he asked.
All I could do was nod.
Sid disappeared into the house and there I sat, on the cool, damp grass wondering what the hell just happened.
Before I had time to form any sort of coherent thought, Sidney returned with a single yellow rose in hand.
"This is for you," he said sweetly, offering me the delicate flower.
"Thank you," I replied taking the rose from his hand and immediately inhaling the sweet scent it offered.
"Beks," he started, after taking my hand in his. "This is not at all how I pictured my birthday turning out. Never in a million years did I think that this night would start out with my girlfriend slapping another girl."
"Please, let's not relive that. That bitch has taken up too much of our time already," I interrupted.
"All I'm trying to say is, that despite getting off to a rough start, this birthday has been more than I ever hoped it would be. You being here is the best birthday present I could have ever wished for and I am so, so happy you're here with me."
"I wouldn't want to be anywhere else," I said before leaning in and kissing the tip of his nose.
"Bekah, I love you so much. I want to share everything with you. I want you by my side as I experience things for the first time, like this house. I mean, it's only fitting that I spend the first night in my first house with my first love right?"
I looked lovingly into his eyes and kissed him like I had never kissed him before. In one swift movement I was in his arms and we were headed towards the house. Like a groom carrying his bride over the threshold for the first time, we entered this place that was soon to hold so many 'first' memories for us. We made our way down a long hallway, and when we came to the last door he whispered, "close your eyes."
I did as instructed.
"Don't open them until I tell you to."
I simply nodded.
We made our way through a doorway and when he said "okay, open your eyes," I could hardly believe what they were seeing. My breath caught in my throat, and as Sidney gently lowered me to the ground, I held onto his arm for support.
What I was seeing was like something I'd only seen in a magazine or in movies. An enormous bed covered in white linens was in the centre of the room in front of a wall of windows that looked out over the lake. The moon was reflecting off the water making a beautiful backdrop. On the opposite wall was a fireplace, whose flames helped cast a warm glow throughout the entire room. There were candles on every flat surface in the room which filled the air with the sweet smell of strawberries and helped add to the ambiance.
"Oh Sidney, this is absolutely beautiful."
He turned me so I was facing him and rested his forehead against mine.
"No, you're beautiful Bekah," he whispered. "I still can't believe how lucky I am."
"What makes you think that you're the lucky one?"
"Because you chose me. After so much heartache, you chose me to be the first man in your life. You chose me to be the first man to be allowed in your kid's lives. You chose me to be the one you opened your heart up to and allowed yourself to fall in love with. I am so grateful that you chose me for all these firsts in your life and so grateful that you're the one who is here for so many firsts in my life."
Sidney placed a hand on each of my cheeks and held my face in his hands like it was as delicate as the rose he had given me only moments before.
"You are the only one I want to share all my firsts with and tonight is definitely a night of firsts. When I said you being here was the best birthday present I could have wished for, I lied. There is one more thing I could wish for that would make this birthday perfect and you are the only one who can make that wish come true."
"You know I'd do anything to make you happy," I smiled.
"My final birthday wish is that tonight be the first night, I get to sleep in my first house, and make love for the first time to the first woman I've ever loved. Do you think you can make my birthday wish come true Bekah?" he asked softly.
A single tear rolled down my cheek.
"Yes."

Chapter 99

Two sets of eyes were looking back at me like deer caught in the headlights. I couldn't tell if Sidney pushed the bimbo's hands away or if she pulled them away first, but it didn't really matter.
"Bekah, please...it's not what you think..."
I put my hand up to stop him from speaking.
Brittany ran over to Max and immediately tried to start damage control. "Max baby, I'm sorry, I couldn't stop him, he just grabbed me and kissed me,"
"That's a fucking lie!" Sidney yelled. His outburst brought in an audience from outside, including Troy and Trina.
"What's going on in here?" Trina asked.
Everyone's eyes searched one another's waiting for someone to speak first. I would be the one to do that honour.
"Something I've been waiting for for a long time," I replied in a cool, deep tone. I walked over to the bimbo who had latched herself on to Max's arm, and stood in front of her, looking into her soulless eyes.
Before I knew what was happening, my arm felt like it was it's own entity and my hand made contact with the bimbo's cheek.
SMACK!!
The crowd that had gathered gasped in unison, and for the first time since stumbling upon the disturbing scene, Max moved. He grabbed and held my hand as if he was trying to stop me from slapping her again.
"You bitch!" Brittany wailed.
"Ladies!" Troy interjected. "Someone needs to explain what the hell is going on here? Sidney?"
"Dad, I..."
"No Sidney, let me," I said in the calmest voice I could manage. I turned so I was once again looking at the bitch who had her lips on my man.
"I've been waiting for this since the first day I met you. You think you had everyone fooled, but guess what? You're the fool. I've known from day one that the one you were really interested was Sidney. I also knew that you were using Max to get to him. Just for future reference, when you are plotting your little schemes, you might not want to spill your plans in a public restroom. Let me tell you something sweetheart; you are the most classless piece of trash I have ever had the displeasure of meeting. To come into Sidney's home and disrespect him, his family, his friends, and his relationship is pretty sleazy, but not as sleazy as trying to blame it on him. You've been trying to get your claws into my man from day one and you have failed miserably. Sidney would not sink low enough to give your skanky, low-life ass the time of day. The saddest part of all this is Max wasted so much time on you. You don't even realize what you had right in front of you! Max worshiped you! He would have done anything for you and you just threw it all away! Well let me tell you something sister; you're not even good enough to breathe the same air he does. Now you have exactly thirty seconds to get out of this house before we call the police and have you escorted out."
With cheers from the crowd, she turned and headed towards the door. When she stopped and turned back to face us, silence fell over the crowd again.
"Max, are you coming?"
My blood started to boil and it took everything in me not to go over and beat her skanky ass, but right now, my main concern was my best friend. He let go of my hand and headed towards the bimbo. I wanted to scream at him not to go, but the familiar feel of Sidney's hands on my shoulders stopped me from opening my mouth. All I could do was watch.
When Max started moving towards her, a smug smile spread across her lips. It took everything in me not to hit her.
"I would not go anywhere with you if we were the last two people on earth. You disgust me. Get the hell out of this house," Max said quietly and forcefully.
"How the hell am I supposed to get home? You can't just kick me out with nowhere to go."
"I suggest you go to the airport and get your sorry self out of this town," Trina's voice came from behind us. "Here," Trina added walking towards my nemesis. "Take a cab on me," she said while tossing a twenty towards the blond bitch. She snatched the bill from off the floor where it had landed and before you could say skanky bitch, she was gone.
Cheers rang out once again and Trina and Troy quickly ushered everyone outside leaving Sid, Max and I alone.
"Max, I'm so sorry man," Sid said apologetically.
Max just nodded his acknowledgement.
I took my friend's hand in mine and rested my head on his shoulder. "Max, I'm so sorry this happened. I was really hoping..."
"I need to be alone," was all he said before heading out the back door and down towards the lake.
My heart was breaking for him. He did not deserve to have this happen to him. I looked at Sid and he looked back at me.
"He'll be okay," Sid said trying to sound reassuring.
"I'm not so sure."
"What now?" he asked timidly.
"How 'bout we try this again," I said moving closer to him; so close you could not slide a sheet of paper between us.
"Happy birthday Sidney."
"It is now," he said in that husky voice that drove me wild. All I wanted was for him to kiss me. It had been almost three months and my body ached to have his lips touch mine once again; but there was one thing left to do first.
"You need to disinfect those lips before you even think about touching me with them Crosby."
That smile I loved spread across his gorgeous face and all he could say was, "God, I missed you Beks."

The party was in full swing and everyone had forgotten about the scene from earlier. My heart was so filled with joy as I watched Sidney interact with his family and friends. I had never seen him so at ease and comfortable. It was wonderful to see him let down his guard and just be himself. I didn't think I could love him anymore, but watching him so lovingly take care of his grandmother's needs, and being Taylor's over-protective big brother endeared him to me even more. A deep voice brought me out of my thoughts.
"What you did today showed alot of class Miss Jones."
I smiled at Troy. "I thought we were past the formalities; and thank you. Trust me, what I wanted to do would not have shown any class whatsoever."
Troy chuckled.
"I don't think you you be anything but 100% class my dear; you don't have it in you."
"Oh no? I'll have you know that I could have so whipped her ass!"
"To protect someone you love? I have no doubt. But seriously Bekah, Sidney is lucky to have you. I don't know that anyone else would have handled that situation more like a lady. It says alot about your character and your ability to handle what is inevitably going to come your way as Sidney's girlfriend. It's something I've worried about for a long time and I'm just glad I don't have to worry about it anymore. I know you'll take good care of him."
"Thank you Troy. I don't really know what to say except I love your son and he's worth it."
"Well as much as you love my son, I know there's another young man with a broken heart who could use some TLC," he said before heading into the house.

I made my way down the rickety old dock towards my best friend who was sitting motionless until the board I stepped on creaked signaling that someone was there. He looked at me and then looked back out over the water. I kicked my flip flops off and sat down beside him. When I got no response I linked my arm through his and rested my head on his shoulder. He in turn, rested his head on mine. Finally, some sign of my beloved best friend!
We sat that way in silence for a good half an hour. I was afraid to speak. To tell the truth, I didn't really know what was left to say. A few minutes later the strong shoulder that I had become so accustomed to leaning on started to shake. Max was crying.
"You were right bijou," he said between sobs. "You were right. Why didn't I listen to you?"
"Shhhh. It doesn't matter Maxie. All that matters is it's over now."
"I almost threw away our friendship over a stupid girl. Well I can promise you one thing Beks. Never again. I will never put myself in that situation again."
"You'll never take a girls word over mine?" I asked confused.
"No. I will never allow myself to fall in love again."

Chapter 98

"Mon petit bijou!" Max yelled through the crowded airport. "I can't believe you're finally here!"
He wrapped me in a great big hug and then did the same with both boys.
"C'mon, let's go get your bags cause I need to get you home before my mom explodes!"
"What does that mean?" I asked.
"She is sooooooo excited to meet you she can hardly contain herself!"
"What exactly did you tell her about me?"
"Nothin' really; just that you are the most beautiful, amazing woman in the whole world and that you're my best friend."
"She does know that we're just friends right?" I asked grabbing one of our bags of the luggage carousel.
"Yes. I've told her all about Brittany too, so don't worry."
I was really hoping that was one name I wouldn't have to hear on this trip.

We pulled up to a cute little white house and before we were even out of the car, Max's mom came running out of the house and wrapped me in the tightest hug I think I ever experienced.
"It's so great to finally meet you Bekah. Oooh let me get a look at you," she said pulling away and giving me the once over. "My son hardly did you justice in his description; you are gorgeous! Absolutely gorgeous!"
"Thank you Mrs. Talbot, it's great to finally meet you too."
"Oh, please don't call me Mrs. Talbot, that's my mother-in-law; just call me mom. And these two handsome young men must be Alex and Jake."
"Hello Mrs. Talbot," the said in unison causing Max and his mother to laugh.
"Please call me Lucie boys. Would you like to see where you'll be sleeping for the next few days?"
"Yeah!"
"Maxime, take them up to your old room and get them settled while I take Bekah to her room."
"Sure Ma. Let's go boys!"
Alex and Jake followed Max and I followed Lucie. When we got to the room that I would be staying in she didn't waste any time pumping me for information.
"So, tell me about this Brittany that Maxime is supposedly dating."
"Supposedly?"
"I don't believe anything until I see it with my own eyes, especially when it comes to Maxime and girls. So what's she like?"
"I'm probably not the best person to answer that Mrs. Tal...uh mom? That's a little weird don't ya think? Is it all right if I call you Lucie?"
"Yes dear, whatever is comfortable for you. Tell me about this girl who has captured the uncapturable heart of my son."
"I'd really rather not. If you haven't met her yet, I don't want anything I say to alter you opinion when you do."
"I knew it! You don't like her do you? Why? Is she one of those, puck bunnies? Max says she didn't even know he played hockey, but I don't believe him, so come on; spill it."
"Lucie please, I don't want to be on the wrong side of this again. Max and I didn't speak for a long time because of her and I am not going to let that happen again."
"Max told me about your fight. Don't worry, anything you say will stay between us. Promise."
I don't know why but I felt like I could trust Lucie. We went downstairs and began to make dinner. Max, the boys, and Sarge, Max's dad, were outside throwing a football around. Lucie and I watched through the window.
"She's horrible Lucie. She is conniving and backstabbing and completely full of crap! She knew exactly who Max was and pretended she didn't. He flirted with her and she saw him as a way to get to what she really wants."
"And what's that?"
"Sidney. She doesn't even like Max Lucie, she's using him to try and get to Sid and what's worse, is she knows that Sid and I are together and she doesn't care."
"Do Max and Sidney know."
"I told them when I first found out and that's why Max didn't speak to me for weeks. He accused me of not wanting him to be happy; ugh, it was a disaster. Sid didn't believe me at first, but he does now. I figured keep your friends close and your enemies closer right? So, I swallowed my pride and apologized to Max so I could keep my eye on her."
"And how's that going?"
"Well, it was okay. We all have dinner together occasionally. So far she hasn't really tried anything, but I'm very cautious. I'm hoping the summer will cool her off and she'll find someone else to obsess over."
Lucie was shaking her head. "For all Max's womanizing, he always has been clueless when it comes to girls. Thank god he has you to look out for him."
"The hardest part is he really likes her and if what I think is going to happen, happens, he'll be devastated."
"You'll be there for him dear. He'll survive; he's a Talbot."

My four days in Montreal with Max and his family were amazing. His brothers and him kept me very entertained. To be honest, I don't know how there wasn't a trip to the hospital every time they were together!
Lucie and I bonded as well. I loved her; she was the most amazing woman and reminded me very much of my grandmother. She certainly made me miss her more than I already did.
As great as this time was, I just wanted to see Sidney. I missed him so much it physically hurt, which I knew wasn't really possible, but it did. I was so close to seeing him now I could taste it. Max gave me the low down on his plan just before we were about to land in Halifax.
"So, you and the boys are going to stay at the Crosby's until part way through the party. I thought it would be a better surprise if you showed up when he was least expecting it."
"Um won't Sidney see us if were at his house?"
"He's not going to be there. He's going to be where the party is."
"And where's that?" I asked.
"I can't tell you that, but I can tell you it's not his parent's house."
"Max, I'm not really comfortable being at the Crosby's house alone. I don't know them that well and even though Troy and I called a trues, I don't want to push my luck."
"It'll be fine bijou, it's only for a few hours. Just trust me okay? I swear I've taken care of everything."
"Fine, but I swear Talbot, if anything goes wrong you're not gonna know what hit you."

We were just picking up the last bag when I heard a voice that sent shivers through my entire body.
"Maxie!"
"Please tell me that's not who I think it is?"
I turned around just in time to see blond hair and big boobs bouncing towards us.
"Maxie, I missed you," she said jumping in to Max's arms and putting on a totally inappropriate, not to mention fake display of public affection I'd ever seen. When they finally broke apart, half the airport was staring at us and I felt sick to my stomach.
"Oh, hi Bekah," she said plastering a fake smile on her face.
"Brittany, I had no idea you'd be here."
"Oh well Maxie wanted to tell you but I thought it would be better if it were a surprise."
"Well, I'm surprised all right."
"And who are these two good looking boys?" she asked in a sickening little girl voice that made me want to punch her.
"Relax Brittany, they're a little too young for you."
"That's funny Bekah. I didn't know you had a sense of humour."
"You don't know alot of things about me that might surprise you," I retorted.
'LIKE I KNOW ALL ABOUT YOUR LITTLE PLAN AND IF YOU SO MUCH AS LAY A FINGER ON MY BOYFRIEND, I WILL RIP YOUR ARMS OFF AND BEAT YOU WITH THEM!'
"Ladies, shall we go get the car before there's any bloodshed," Max said sarcastically.
The entire ride to the Crosby's was spent listening to the bimbo talk about her friends and her summer and her cute bathing suits and going to the beach and her tan and blah, blah, blah. Every once in a while I'd look over at the boys and Alex would roll his eyes and stick his finger down his throat like he was pretending to puke. I loved that kid!
When we arrived at the Crosby's, we were greeted by Trina and Taylor which delighted the boys.
"Welcome dear," Trina said giving me a warm hug.
"Thank you so much Mrs. Cros..."
"Ah ah ah..."
"Sorry...Trina. Thank you so much for letting us stay here, I know it must be a huge inconvenience."
"Nonsense, it's no bother really, and Taylor is thrilled to have other kids in the house."
"Alex and Jake are excited too."
"Well, let's get in in house and get you settled. Max, you get those bags and bring them in won't you?"
"Yes, Mrs. C.," Max said obediently after placing a kiss on her cheek.
"And this must be...?" Trina hinted.
"Oh, I'm Brittany. I'm Max's girlfriend. It's so great to meet you Trina, your son is an amazing hockey player."
"Call me Mrs. Crosby, and thank you," Trina said coolly making Brittany disappear back to the car with Max.
"Flavour of the week?" Trina asked me.
"You have no idea," I said shaking my head.
"I take it you're not a fan?"
"That is a HUGE understatement."
Trina chuckled and put her arm around me as we walked into the house.
"Is Troy here?" I asked.
"No, he's with Sid helping him get ready for the party."
"So where is this shindig going to be, I assumed it was going to be here."
Max and Trina exchanged glances and she said "No, Sid wanted his party to be by the lake this year."
"Nice. Trina do you mind if I take a shower, I feel disgusting after the flight?"
"No problem, I'll show you where it is."

When I returned to the kitchen the conversation abruptly stopped and changed subjects.
"Well, you two better go get ready because Sidney is expecting us around five."
Max and Brittany went to freshen up and change and left me and Trina to our own devices.
We talked about anything and everything; the boys; the hospital; Troy and Taylor; Brittany; everything.. She had about the same opinion of Brittany as I did, even though it was for a different reason. I couldn't imagine what she'd think if I told her she had her eye on her son!
"I don't like her. She's fake. I hate fake people," she said.
"I know, I feel the same way, but she's Max's girlfriend so I bite my tongue."
"Just be careful not to bite it off," Trina replied causing us both to laugh.
"What's so funny?" Brittany asked as she walked back into the kitchen.
My eyes nearly bulged right out of my head when I saw what she was wearing. A barely there tank top type shirt, if you could call it that and a skirt I was sure wasn't even covering her ass.
"Oh my dear, do you have anything on under that?" Trina asked.
"My bathing suit. You did say the party was at the lake right?"
"Yes. Make sure you take warmer clothes with you, It gets very cold by the water at night," Trina told her.
"Oh, okay. I'll go get some."
Trina and I burst out laughing and Max came through the door and asked the same question his girlfriend did.
"Nothing," I said breathlessly.
"Just girl stuff," was Trina's reply.
Brittany came back and her, Max, Trina and Taylor got ready to go to the party.
"Okay, so about 7:00, I'm going to tell Sid we need more ice and I'm going to come and pick you guys up, are you okay with that?"
"Sure, you're the man with the plan Max."
"There's lots of food in the fridge, but there's lots at the party too."
"Okay, we'll be fine. Have fun!"

The party was in full swing and everyone was having a great time. Sid was enjoying himself but he would have been happier if he was celebrating with Bekah. True to his word Max, told Sid they were out of ice and he was going to go get some.
"No, stay man, I can go get some," Sidney said.
"No way! You're the host, you can't go anywhere. Stay, have a good time. I'll be back before you know it."
"Thanks Talbo, I appreciate it.
"Brit you coming?" Max asked.
"I think I'll stay here. I'm having a good time and I'll help Mrs. Crosby with the food if she needs it."
"Okay babe, I'll be back soon."

The car ride to the party was excruciating. It had been almost two months since I'd seen Sidney and I just wanted to have his lips on mine.
"Are we close yet?" I asked Max impatiently.
"Are you having a seizure?" he asked looking down at my shaking leg.
"Max, I miss him. I just want to get to him."
"Well good cause we're here."
Trina came out the front door of the large house with Taylor right behind her. Taylor had strict instructions to take the boys for a walk through the little woods that were at the side of the property before coming back into the house.
"Everyone is out back," she told us. "Sidney is in the kitchen, so I'll go around back and you guys go in and deliver the surprise. I can't wait to see his face!" Trina said like a giddy school girl.
I walked in with Max behind me pointing me towards the kitchen. As we got closer he stepped in front of me so he could shield me, keeping my presence a surprise. When he stopped abruptly, I walked right into the back of him. He didn't budge.
"Max?" I whispered, "what's wrong?"
When he didn't respond, I took it upon myself to step out from behind him and regretted it as soon as I did.
I couldn't move. I couldn't speak. I couldn't blink. The sight my eyes were seeing would forever be etched into my brain.
Her hands were tangled up in his hair. His hands were around her wrists. Her lips were touching his.
HER LIPS WERE TOUCHING HIS!
I came to my senses and realized that Max hadn't moved or spoke. I pushed my way by him and through the doorway. I cleared my throat and said...
"Happy birthday Sidney."

Thank you all for the love and support you've showed through your comments. It is MUCH appreciated and was much needed.
A little time and some perspective have led me to several conclusions (please excuse the language):
1. FUCK KJ!

2. I am not going to let one "troll" (as Lauren so eloquently put it)run me off from
writitng the stories that I love.

3. I am not doing anything wrong morally or otherwise so again...FUCK KJ! If she has
nothing better to do than spew hatred about things she knows nothing about and
about people she knows nothing about, it's not my problem, it's hers.

Again, it was not just her comments that made me me pull back from the stories, I am going to be soooooo CRAZY busy with life and school that I don't know how much time I will have to write, but the posts will be mine. In the end, I couldn't hand my babies off to someone else to write. Much love to you Ainsley for offering to take over. Both stories will be made public again, so if you all can bear with me and the sporatic posts, I would be honoured if you continued to read them. And just for the record, I don't comment on stories very often but I do read all of yours and LOVE them!
Much love to you girls in this 'family' of ours.
